Since the beginning of the pandemic, we had been dealing with Covid-19 in some of our programmes and found that there was a lot of talk about case numbers and incidence rates, but very little about the people who were actually affected by Covid-19. With this in mind, we approached the Ministry of Health. The Ministry was enthusiastic about the simple but clear approach and integrated our proposal directly into the ongoing #zusammengegencorona campaign orchestrated by Scholz & Friends.
At the end of 2020, we launched a nationwide awareness campaign: under the hashtag #ichhattecorona (#ihadcovid), people affected by the virus shared their experience with the disease.
From around 35 hours of interviews with over 100 people, we created a series of very personal portraits in a wide variety of formats for the Ministry’s website, social media and TV
